Vietnam will open to tourists from this March 15 due to the relatively low number of hospitalizations and deaths from the Omicron variant. So, if you want to come to Vietnam from March 15, what to prepare?
1. Apply for a tourist visa.
2. Provide papers and documents proving that you have been fully vaccinated or recovered from Covid - 19.
3. Take the PCR test before departing to Vietnam.
4. Upon arrival, you will be quarantined for a day. Then you take an ATK self-test. If the result is negative, you will be free to walk.
5. You need to present a travel insurance policy worth at least $20,000.
According to data from the General Statistics Office, Vietnam welcomed nearly 50,000 foreign tourists in the first two months of 2022, up 71.7% over the same period last year; in which the majority of international tourists come to Vietnam by air. This is a good sign when Vietnam is piloting opening the door to foreign tourists and resumption of international routes to return to the new normal.
