From March 1, 2022, Germany officially removed 60 countries and territories from the list of countries heavily affected by the Covis-19 epidemic, including Vietnam. Accordingly, passengers entering Germany from Vietnam will no longer be subject to the same stringent regulations as before such as: pre-flight RT-PCR testing for SARS-CoV-2, declaration online health and is quarantined for 10 days upon arrival.

The German government also believes that the classification of high-risk areas should be reserved for areas with a particularly high incidence of disease and the spread of a variant of the virulent SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. higher potency (especially pathogenic properties). This new regulation will take effect from 00:00 on 03/03/2022.

Previously, Germany's Robert Koch Institute (RKI) classified Vietnam as one of the high-risk areas for COVID-19 since August 15 last year. Passengers from Vietnam entering Germany are required to be tested for SARS-CoV-2 by RT-PCR method before the flight, declare their health online and are quarantined for 10 days after entry.

This change is a positive signal for the return of Vietnam's tourism industry, especially when it is considered one of the safe destinations recognized by prestigious international organizations.
