FOREIGN GUESTS TO VIETNAM TOURISM NEED TO ISOLATION FOR HOW MANY DAYS?

In the near future, foreign tourists who have been fully vaccinated upon arrival in Vietnam will be able to travel freely after only one day of quarantine after entry - a new regulation in the plan to reopen international tourism. according to Vietnam's new normal method, which is expected to start from March 15, 2022.

However, for each specific object, the isolation and testing for Covid-19 will be different. Eg:

For children who have not been vaccinated/partially vaccinated against COVID-19/ have never been infected with coronavirus, they are not allowed to go out of their home during the first 24 hours of entry. For the following seven days, they will need to test negative for COVID-19 every day before leaving their accommodation. If a child is under two years of age, they do not need to be tested for COVID-19 and can participate in activities outside of their home with their parents and relatives (who are eligible to participate), even though they must not have had a COVID-19 vaccination or had a previous infection with the virus.

For high-risk groups (people aged 65 years or older, pregnant women, people with underlying medical conditions but who do not need continuous monitoring and treatment at medical facilities) should limit travel when have new recommendations and strictly follow the rules of COVID-19 vaccination before entering Vietnam.

Note: Travelers will need to have a negative RT-PCR/RT-LAMP test result within 72 hours of entry and be approved by the competent authority of the country where the test is located. At the same time, tourists must make a medical declaration and must install the Vietnam COVID-19 (PC-COVID) app during their stay in Vietnam.

In the event that travelers do not leave their accommodation within the first 72 hours after entry, they will only need to undergo two COVID-19 tests - one on the first day of entry and the other on the third day of entry. . If the results are negative both times, they can move freely outside of their home 72 hours after entry and self-monitor their health status for the next seven days.
