As approved, Vietnam e-visa validity will be up to 90 days, instead of the current 30 days as before. This novel policy is decided by the National Assembly Standing Committee, aiming to meet the needs of international travelers, students, facilitate investors who want to carry out market surveys, and seek and promote their investment in various countries in Southeast Asia.
The approved amendments also heighten the duration of visa-free stays for visitors from specific countries to 45 days, instead of 15 days as before. What more, nationals from select Western European nations, Japan, and South Korea, are presently authorized to visit visa-free for 15 days.
With E-Visa, you are allowed to enter Vietnam multiple times. However, this change will apply to those submitting their application for Vietnam eVisa on or after August 15, 2023. Since then,within 90 days of evisa validity, the eVisa holders may enter and leave Vietnam as many times as they wish, without following any new evisa issuance procedure. Those who have their eVisa for Vietnam issued or have their Vietnam evisa application submitted before August 15, 2023 will not be entitled to this change.
